Want to find out more about the Sumba Hospitality Foundation but don’t have much time? Take part in a student-led campus tour.
Many people want to learn more about our work but don’t always have the time or resources to stay with us. That’s why we offer one-hour campus tours that take you around the foundation and explain our approach to responsible tourism. You will be shown around by one of our students with whom you will be able to exchange about their background, SHF experiences and plans for their future.
As these campus tours require time and resources, we kindly ask external visitors to make a donation of IDR 50,000 per person. These contributions help us secure the future of the Foundation and are directly reinvested into our projects.

Our students, coming from all corners of the island, are ready to take you behind the scenes and introduce you to the countless wonders of nature, the Sumbanese culture, delicious food, and so much more. From adventure, over culture, to the ultimate relaxation, we have it.
One of our students will take you on personal campus tour on the day of arrival, free of charge. Be introduced to all Maringi facilities and all aspects of campus life. Enjoy walking between open-air bamboo classrooms, boarding houses, and lodges. Learn about permaculture farming, environmental awareness, and personal development.
Now Maringi Sumba and Sumba Hospitality Foundation have no more secrets for you: feel free to walk aroung wherever you want and get to know the student-staff.
